This two-day course is aimed at EM doctors attending an US course for the first time or refreshing skills. The aim of the course is to get as much hands-on scanning experience and confidence performing:
Aorta assessment
Extended Focused assessment sonography in trauma (eFAST).
Echo in life support
Assessment of the hypotensive patient (shock exam)
US guided procedures.
The course complements the theoretical learning available on the RCEM learning platform, aiming to maximise hands-on learning with knowledgeable instructors (equivalent to level one/core teaching)
