Description

This course is aimed at both medical and nursing staff that manage adult patients in emergency and acute medical settings. This multidisciplinary course provides simulation training on a range of emergency situations based in the emergency department, using high fidelity simulation and informative debriefing sessions facilitated by expert faculty.

It is suitable for a range of staff – for example ACCS ST1-3 trainees working in emergency and acute medicine, anaesthesia and critical care; advanced care practitioners working in emergency medicine; nursing staff in emergency departments and acute medical units. It would also be beneficial for staff returning to these areas after a break from practice.

The course is mapped to the RCEM 2021 curriculum, and is an excellent opportunity to experience high acuity, low occurrence scenarios in a safe learning environment (and have Supervised Learning Event tickets completed by the faculty).
