My current role in the SCSCHF family is coordinating and running immersive simulation courses for anaesthetists, operating department practitioners, emergency physicians and other multidisciplinary groups based on paediatric topics.
I have recently joined the Faculty Development Course team delivering the highly successful Introduction to Simulation course which focuses on the tools needed to deliver effective and efficient simulation based education.
One of the highlights for me is the opportunity to deliver simulation courses on the Mobile Skills Unit in some of the most stunningly beautiful remote and rural locations in Scotland.
Other related activities include European Paediatric Life Support Course Director and Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer, University of Edinburgh.
Away from education and training I am a consultant in Paediatric Anaesthesia, Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Edinburgh and Paediatric Lead, Scottish Specialist Transport and Retrieval Service (ScotSTAR).
